COVID-19 Safety Protocol and Policy
General
All tours and workshops are currently being held in an outdoor or virtual environment.
These COVID-19 safety guidelines have been developed in accordance with BC’s heath orders and recommendations to ensure client and operator safety during all tours and workshops.
Public Health Orders and Travel Restrictions
All guests and operators are expected to follow the latest public health orders and travel restrictions.
COVID-19 Screening
A questionnaire will be sent to all guests prior to your tour, screening for any COVID-19 symptoms and asking for you to disclose if you have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days, whether you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days, and whether you are pending COVID-19 test results.
Face Masks and Social Distancing
Tour and workshop leaders will be wearing a face mask. Tour participants over the age of 6 are also required to wear a face mask or covering at all times when physical distancing of at least 2 meters (6.6 feet) is not maintained.
Equipment sanitization
Any loaned optics (such as binoculars on birding tours) will be thoroughly sanitized between tours.
Transportation
All tour and workshop participants must have access to means of transportation (public or private) to get to tour and workshop locations (no transportation service is provided at this time).
Covid-19 cancellation policy
Cancellations due to an issue with any of the COVID-19 screening questions will be offered to reschedule or receive a full refund.
